Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the Turkic States Organization Summit in Gabala

On October 7, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev attended the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Gabala, Azerbaijan.
At the summit, the Uzbek leader proposed a number of initiatives aimed at strengthening unity within the Turkic world and deepening economic cooperation.

In particular, he suggested:
🔹 Establishing a Permanent Council on Economic Partnership among Turkic states, with its Project Office to be located in Tashkent;
🔹 Holding a meeting of foreign ministers and heads of special services in Samarkand in 2026;
🔹 Developing a “Turkic States 2030 Strategy”;
🔹 Creating an “Industrial Alliance”, a “Green Corridors” system, and a “Green Transformation” consortium;
🔹 Establishing an International Turkic States University in Uzbekistan.

At the end of the summit, several documents aimed at expanding cooperation among OTS member states were signed.
