Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the CIS Summit

On October 10, Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the regular meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State held in Dushanbe.
The meeting focused on expanding practical cooperation within the Commonwealth.

In his address, President Mirziyoyev emphasized that despite global political instability, the CIS continues to demonstrate resilience and relevance. He proposed four key areas to strengthen economic partnership:

1️⃣ Expanding trade relations — simplifying procedures for agricultural product supply and reducing technical barriers.
2️⃣ Developing transport infrastructure — establishing integrated logistics centers and expanding public-private partnerships.
3️⃣ Enhancing investment cooperation — developing a “roadmap,” launching a “CIS Venture Platform,” and holding an Innovation Industry Forum in Tashkent.
4️⃣ Advancing cooperation in the energy sector.

The President also noted with satisfaction that trade turnover among CIS countries increased by 11% over the past year.
At the end of the summit, a set of agreements and decisions on priority areas of cooperation within the CIS was signed.
