Shavkat Mirziyoyev Arrives in Turkmenistan for a Working Visit

The President arrived in Turkmenistan on October 7 for a working visit. As part of the visit, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will participate in the eighth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan on October 8. Discussions will focus on developing cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, energy, environmental, educational, scientific, and cultural spheres. There will also be an exchange of views on pressing regional and international issues, as well as on ensuring peace, stability, and security.

On October 9, the President will attend the regular meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS. The agenda includes a discussion of current results and future prospects for cooperation within the Commonwealth. Notably, this year marks the 35th anniversary of the CIS's establishment.

Bilateral meetings between the leadership of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan are also scheduled to take place during the visit.
