Shavkat Mirziyoyev Arrives in the United States Accompanied by His Wife

Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in the United States on February 17, accompanied by his wife. The President was met at Andrews Air Force Base by Carolyn Lamm, Chairwoman of the US-Uzbek Chamber of Commerce, and James Hankins, Commander of the Joint Staff of the Mississippi National Guard. A meeting with Paolo Zampolli, Special Representative of the US President, was held at the residence in Washington.
As part of the visit, the Head of State will participate in the first summit of the Peace Council and a number of business events.

The Peace Council is an international organization established at the initiative of Donald Trump, the charter of which was adopted in Davos. The summit will be held at the US Institute of Peace and will be dedicated to the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, humanitarian assistance, and stability in the region.
