Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Lee Jae-myung Discussed Expanding Uzbekistan–South Korea Cooperation
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held talks with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung in Seoul. Issues regarding the further development of the special strategic partnership between the two nations were discussed.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in the fields of trade, investment, critical minerals, transport, infrastructure, energy, ICT, healthcare, and education.
It was announced that projects with a total value of nearly $12 billion had been prepared within the framework of the visit. Additionally, an $8 billion Strategic Partnership Program was adopted with the Export-Import Bank of Korea.
The two countries agreed to form an innovation and technology alliance based on advanced technologies. An agreement was also reached to declare 2027 the "Year of Culture and Mutual Exchanges."
