Shavkat Mirziyoyev and his wife went to the city of Fuzuli

Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Fuzuli with his wife on the second day of his state visit to Azerbaijan. This was reported by the President's press service.

The high-ranking guests were welcomed by the President of Azerbaijan Ilhom Aliyev and his wife. The city was named after the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli. Industry and agriculture developed in Fuzuli district until the nineties of the last century. Libraries, houses of culture, museums, theaters, parks and other cultural objects functioned here.

In 2020, restoration work began in Fuzuli district and city. An international airport, a modern residential complex, medical and educational institutions have been completed in the city. It is planned to complete the restoration of Fuzuli by 2026.
