On November 10, at a meeting with medical and pharmaceutical workers, the President noted that work is being done to stabilize inflation and food prices, but a large part of the population spends its income on medicines. The Head of State criticized the fact that 7.5 trillion soums have been allocated to specialized centers over the past five years, but only 25 percent of modern equipment is being used. It was also noted that medical institutions are slow to digitize, improve diagnostics and treatment. The President stressed the need for a clear analysis and plan based on disease statistics, and the effective use of allocated funds and equipment.

Yesterday, on November 9, Shavkat Mirziyoyev congratulated healthcare workers on their professional holiday, awarded representatives of the industry, and signed a new resolution to support them.
According to the resolution, from April 1, 2026, state medical institutions will switch to a five-day work week. From January 1, 2026, doctors who introduce a new treatment method and show positive results will be awarded a bonus of 50 times the minimum wage. Also, children of medical and pharmaceutical workers with 15 years of experience will be reimbursed 30% of the contract fee for studying at universities.
