Severe flooding in the US

Flooding caused by heavy rains and storms in the central US has killed 16 people. River levels continue to rise in the hardest-hit areas. Roads in Kentucky have been rendered impassable by floodwaters and landslides. In addition, deadly storms were observed in the states of Arkansas and Mississippi.
At least 40 people were also killed by powerful tornadoes in the US in March.
