The Year of Culture of Turkmenistan in China will be held next year, 2024. Along with other events, it will also include the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen thinker and poet Magtymguly Fragi. These agreements, reached during the state visit of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to China in January of this year, again became the focus of attention at the talks between the heads of the two states in Xi'an.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chinese President Xi Jinping placed special emphasis on the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, in addition to such key areas as fuel and energy and transport and communications.
They also noted the expanding interaction in the field of healthcare, including in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and innovative technologies. The sports sector has not gone unnoticed either.
On May 19, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov will attend the China-Central Asia Summit.
