Senate hires artificial intelligence officer

The Senate of the Oliy Majlis launched the video project “AI-Senate”. In it, a virtual employee working on the basis of artificial intelligence explains the laws being discussed in parliament and their impact on citizens.

On October 22, the President signed Decree No. PF-189 on the development of artificial intelligence.

Main tasks:

• 100 AI projects will be implemented by 2026;

• More than $1 billion in investments will be attracted to AI infrastructure by 2030;

• AI classes will be introduced in education from the 2026/2027 academic year;
• 15 AI laboratories will be launched;
• The “ai.gov.uz” portal will be launched by the end of 2025;
• The “President AI Award” and the “National AI Hackathon” will be held from 2026;
• The position of advisors responsible for AI development will be introduced in regions and districts.
