Schoolgirl Dies After “Disciplinary” Meeting

Information about the death of a schoolgirl in the city of Almalyk has been circulating on social media. The incident occurred on January 28 at Secondary School No. 5 in Almalyk. The girl, born in 2009, lost consciousness in a school corridor and died despite receiving first medical aid.

According to Nemolchi.uz, the girl died due to severe stress during a meeting involving law enforcement officers. The meeting was held because of rumors about a student, and adults reportedly spoke harshly to senior schoolgirls. Students suspected of spreading the rumors, including the deceased, were called into a separate room for questioning. After that, the 17-year-old girl collapsed in the corridor and died.

A pre-investigation inquiry is currently underway. Authorities have asked the public not to spread unverified information until the official investigation is completed.
