For the first time in more than 70 years, an alcohol store will be opened in Saudi Arabia. This decision, adopted by Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, is of historic importance for the kingdom, which first introduced a strict ban on alcohol in 1952.

The store only sells alcohol to non-Muslims in Riyadh's diplomatic quarter, and requires permission from the foreign ministry to register through an app called Diplo. Authorized diplomats are not allowed to bring guests or anyone under the age of 21 into the store.
