Sales of Captiva-5 may start in Uzbekistan in the near future. The official representative of UzAuto informed Kun.uz that the test process is currently being conducted. Prices are scheduled to be announced before sales begin.
In the report of Freedom Broker, which acted as an underwriter in the sale of the first public shares of UzAuto Motors, it was mentioned that the company plans to start importing Captiva from 2023.

At the moment, it is possible to get a contract from UzAuto Motors dealerships only for models produced in Uzbekistan, such as Onix and Tracker-2, as well as for imported cars such as Malibu-2, Equinox, Traverse, Tahoe-2.

Chevrolet Captiva entered the country's market 16 years ago. The first large-scale assembly of the car began in October 2007. An updated model of the car was released in September 2011 and February 2017. Since the fall of 2018, the crossover has been discontinued.

Later, in the fall of 2021, UzAuto Motors announced the resumption of Chevrolet Captiva sales and concluded contracts with several consumers. But after a certain period of time, this process was stopped. The reason was that Captiva-5 does not suit the climate of Uzbekistan. At that time, it was reported that this car will be sold at a price from 221,691,000 to 309,900,000 soums.

The Freedom Broker report also stated that UzAuto Motors will stop production of Chevrolet Lacetti from the end of 2023 and start importing Chevrolet Cadillac this year. The document indicates that the company will start production of an unnamed new Chevrolet model from 2026.
