Salaries must be paid before the holiday
Due to the Eid al-Adha celebrations, all employees will have days off from May 27 to June 1. Therefore, salaries must be paid in full before the holiday period begins, no later than May 27.
According to the Labor Code of Uzbekistan, if the salary payment date falls on a weekend or public holiday, wages must be paid in advance.
If salaries are delayed, the employer is required to pay compensation for each overdue day. The compensation amount is calculated based on the interest rate set by the Central Bank.
