Tim Shaddock and his dog were caught in a Pacific storm and spent three months eating raw fish and drinking rainwater while waiting for help.
In the Pacific Ocean rescued 51-year-old Australian Tim Shaddock, who, along with his dog for three months sailed his boat in the open ocean. This was reported by the Australian TV channel 9 News on Sunday, July 16.

Shaddock left the Mexican port of La Paz on a catamaran in April. He planned to travel 6000 km to the archipelago of French Polynesia in the Pacific Ocean. His dog Bella was with him on the ship.

A few weeks after starting the journey, they encountered a storm that disabled the catamaran's electronics and radio communications, rendering the ship uncontrollable. Sheddock and his dog drifted in the open ocean for three months before being spotted by a helicopter from a fishing boat on July 6.

During this time, the Australian drank rainwater and ate raw fish caught in the ocean - Sheddock's fishing net. The rescued are now returning to Mexico on a trawler. “I went through a very difficult test at sea. I need to rest and eat well, because I have been alone for a long time. My health is fine,” says Tim Shaddock.
