Saida Mirziyoyeva reminds public of tougher penalties for animal cruelty

Head of the Presidential Administration, Saida Mirziyoyeva, shared a video featuring cats on her social media page and reminded the public that penalties for animal cruelty have been strengthened.

According to her, since June 28, administrative fines for such offenses have doubled. In addition, offenders may face up to 15 days of administrative detention, while repeat offenders can be subject to criminal liability, including imprisonment.

Mirziyoyeva said that these laws are intended not only to punish offenders but also to foster respect for life and zero tolerance for violence in society. She also emphasized the vital role of parents in teaching children to respect all living beings, adding, "Every creature created by Allah has value."
