In New York, Saida Mirziyoyeva, Head of the Presidential Administration, met with the leadership of BlackRock. The meeting was attended by BlackRock President Robert Kapito, Vice Chairman Thomas Donilon, Global Infrastructure Partners Chairman and CEO Adebayo Ogunlesi, and Charles Hatami, the company’s Global Head of the Financial and Strategic Investors Group and Head of the Middle East region.
Discussions focused on the launch of the Tashkent International Financial Center, scheduled for 2027. It was noted that BlackRock is providing support in developing the Center’s concept and structure.
Additionally, views were exchanged regarding development prospects for Uzbekistan and the region over the coming decades during a roundtable discussion with representatives of the US business community. At the meeting, Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized that Uzbekistan is becoming a hub of new opportunities for major, high-quality investments.
