Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting on the environmental situation in Tashkent

Today, the Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting to discuss urgent and coordinated measures to reduce air pollution in the capital. It was attended by the heads of the administration and relevant departments.
The meeting considered the main factors leading to the deterioration of air quality, population appeals and public proposals. Officials stressed the need to take strict measures against production facilities that do not comply with environmental requirements.
The meeting developed urgent and long-term measures: strengthening environmental control, restricting the activities of polluting facilities, tightening construction requirements, large-scale greening of the city, and creating a modern air quality control system.
These measures will be included in the draft presidential decree in the near future.
