Saida Mirziyoyeva discussed environmental cooperation with representatives of the UN and GEF
Head of the Presidential Administration Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with UN Under-Secretary-General, UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen, and Global Environment Facility (GEF) Executive Director Carlos Manuel Rodriguez.
During the meeting, topical environmental issues such as combating desertification, preventing land degradation, monitoring air quality, preserving biodiversity, and efficient use of natural resources were discussed. The parties agreed to continue supporting the "green" reforms and environmental initiatives being implemented in Uzbekistan.
