In the framework of the global forum on "Combating transnational drug threats to ensure public health and security", Saida Mirziyoyeva held a meeting with Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in Samarkand. During the conversation, the prospects for further expanding cooperation between Uzbekistan and the World Health Organization were discussed. In particular, special attention was paid to increasing the effectiveness of reforms in the healthcare system, expanding the capabilities of digital medicine, improving the regulation of the pharmaceutical market, and strengthening regional cooperation. During the meeting, special attention was paid to strengthening cooperation with the World Health Organization in the field of treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts. An exhibition organized as part of the event demonstrated modern digital technologies and special technical means used in the fight against organized drug crime.
