Rustam Jo‘rayev appointed Head of the Presidential State Security Service
By presidential decree, Rustam Jo‘rayev has been appointed as the Head of Uzbekistan’s Presidential State Security Service. He was also awarded the special rank of lieutenant general.
Rustam Jo‘rayev has extensive experience in law enforcement. Throughout his career, he has held leadership positions in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the National Guard, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
It should be noted that Alisher Usmonov, who had held this position since December 2020, was previously dismissed.
