Russian free diver set a new world record

Russian freestyle diver Alexei Molchanov set a new record at the Aida Free Skating World Cup in Cyprus by diving to a depth of 413 feet (126 metres) in one breath. The 37-year-old had previously held the 410-foot record.
Molchanov dived at a fixed weight of and in two wing directions, in which the diver had to go down only with floats and go up in such a way that it was impossible to get help by pulling the rope. Diving lasted 4 minutes and 32 seconds, and he endured cold water, strong pressure and the risk of fainting on the return.
