Russia Tightens Control Over Migrants
Russia is tightening medical control requirements for migrants. This was announced by Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
According to him, foreign citizens entering the country will be required to undergo mandatory medical examinations for drug and psychotropic substance use, as well as for infectious diseases.
In addition, under a new decision adopted by lawmakers, the deadline for mandatory medical examinations for migrants staying in Russia for more than three months will be reduced from 90 days to 30 days.
The new measures are said to be aimed at strengthening control over migrants and ensuring public health safety.
