Russia strikes kindergarten in Kharkiv

Russian drones targeted a kindergarten in the city of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The attack left one person dead and seven injured, while all the children were safely evacuated.

Witnesses reported that a fire broke out in the building after the strike, and rescuers managed to move the children to safety.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the strike occurred during the night and also damaged nearby residential buildings.

Ukrainian officials condemned the attack as another act of aggression against civilians, accusing Russia of grossly violating international humanitarian law.

The incident is part of a recent wave of drone and missile attacks that have hit the Kharkiv region in recent weeks.
