The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has handed over Yusuf Salikhov, who is accused of killing 22 people, to the Tajik authorities.
The crime took place in 1992, including the murder of a pregnant woman.
This is stated in the message of the Telegram channel of the department.
It is noted that Russian law enforcement officers granted Dushanbe's request for the extradition of Salikhov.
"The criminal case against Salikhov is being handled by the General Prosecutor's Office of Tajikistan," the report says.
Law enforcement officers of Bokhtar in March 2022 gave permission for the detention of a citizen of Tajikistan. After that, the accused was put on the international wanted list. It was possible to find and detain him in Russia. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation does not report the circumstances of the operation.
According to official sources, a terrible tragedy occurred in the village of Sarband in Tajikistan on October 14, 1992. Yusuf Salikhov, together with his accomplices, decided to rob the house.
They entered the house where the victim's family and his relatives lived. Salikhov and his accomplices, armed with a Kalashnikov assault rifle, opened fire on family members. They then doused the bodies of the victims with gasoline and set them on fire.
