Russia allocated more than 4.5 tons of products, including flour, sunflower oil, peas, to support the School Feeding Program in Tajikistan
The Russian side sent a batch of products to Tajikistan within the framework of the UN World Food Programme.
This was reported by the Russian Embassy in Dushanbe.
Thus, a solemn ceremony was held to transfer the batch of humanitarian aid to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic by representatives of the diplomatic mission, namely:
68 tons of fortified wheat flour,
117 tons of enriched sunflower oil,
202 tons of peas.
It was noted that another 877 tons of flour will be received in the near future.
Meanwhile, another part of the cargo will go to the Sughd region, including more than 1.3 thousand tons of flour.
In total, Russia sent 4.5 tons of humanitarian cargo to Tajikistan, it will be sent to support the School Feeding Program in the country, which covers 2,000 educational institutions in 52 districts and cities.
Since 2013, the Russian Federation has allocated $86.1 million.

Earlier, servicemen of the 201st Russian military base provided assistance to low-income Tajik families.
Thus, families with many children living in the village of Chagam, which is located at a distance of 46 kilometers from Dushanbe, were provided with food kits.
