This was reported at the Russian trade mission in Tajikistan following a meeting between trade representative Evgeniy Korenkov and the head of the Tajik company Malika Madalieva.

Thus, charging stations will be intended for electric buses and owners of electric vehicles.

In addition, in the future the possibility of creating a service center for servicing electric charging equipment stations will be considered, the Russian trade mission added.

The corresponding agreement was signed by the parties at the investment forum in Dushanbe.

In turn, Korenkov added that he is ready to assist companies in implementing the project.

Tajikistan intends to produce electric cars

Let us recall that in the spring of 2023, the Tajik authorities started talking about expanding the use of electric vehicles in the country.

Thus, the press service of the lower house of parliament reported that the country has developed a law that exempts the import of electric vehicles into Tajikistan from paying tax and customs duties.

In addition, recently the chairman of the upper house of parliament, Rustam Emomali, agreed with his colleagues on the joint production of electric vehicles.
