Initiating the process of ratification of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court,
Armenian Prime Minister's wife Anna Akopyan's trip to Kiev to provide humanitarian assistance to the “Kiev fascist regime
Military exercises with the United States on the territory of Armenia.
Also, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over a note of protest to the ambassador, stating that the “offensive statements of the speaker of the Armenian parliament, Alain Simonyan, addressed to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, are unacceptable.”
TIV Sputnik expressed “concern” over the arrest of Armenian commentator Ashot Gevorkyan and pro-Russian blogger Mikael Badalyan in Armenia.
On September 6, speaker of the Armenian parliament Alen Simonyan said that the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court will be ratified by the country's Parliament.
There was also a superficial dispute with the speaker of the Armenian parliament, Maria Zakharova. Simonyan criticized Zakharova's statement that the situation in the Falcon corridor is a consequence of Armenia's recognition of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. He called it absurd. In response, Zakharova compared the mass rhetoric of the Armenian authorities with “surbethism”, while Simonyan called her “some kind of Secretary”.
