A laboratory has been launched at the Skolkovo School of Management in Moscow to study the impact of extending human life on the economy, the labor market, and public policy. Maria Vorontsova, a medical specialist and daughter of Vladimir Putin, also attended the event.
According to her, the first stage of longevity involves following a healthy lifestyle to reach the natural human lifespan of 85–90 years. The second stage entails using science to attempt to transcend this natural limit. Vorontsova described this as "tricking God or nature." Furthermore, she speculated that in 10–20 years, the "universal human fear of death" will compel healthcare officials to address this issue.
Efforts are also underway in Russia to develop anti-aging preparations, including an "anti-aging vaccine." The government plans to begin production of such preparations between 2028 and 2030.
Russia aims to increase average life expectancy to 78 years by 2030 and to 81 years by 2036. Currently, this figure stands at 74.2 years.
