Portugal national team captain Cristiano Ronaldo left the team’s training camp ahead of the match against Denmark. It is reported that the decision was prompted by a disagreement with head coach Jorge Jesus.
According to the rules of the Portuguese Football Federation, a player who leaves the national team camp without a valid reason may face a suspension of one to six months and a fine of €500–€1,000.
