Roads worth 6 million somoni were repaired in Bokhtar

The total contribution of entrepreneurs to the repair of highways significantly exceeded last year's investments, said the head of the road infrastructure of Khatlon region

Since the beginning of 2023, with the support of local entrepreneurs, 9 km of the road surface has been repaired in Bokhtar.

This was reported in the State Institution of Road Facilities of Khatlon region.

Thus, more than 43 km of roads were paved in the city and 10 bridges were repaired.

"Significant work has been done over these four months," said the head of the department, Nusratullo Khagnazarov.

He stressed that the total contribution of entrepreneurs for the repair of highways exceeded 6 million somoni.

According to him, this amount of investments has become much larger compared to the amounts for previous years.

Recall that the Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan and local governments allocated more than 2 million somoni for the repair and maintenance of roads and bridges in the first quarter.

At the same time, the authorities of the Kushan district of the Khatlon region reported that more than 60% of the region's highways are in need of repair.

They also added that along with the road surface, 40 bridges should also be repaired, which is half of the existing structures in the area.
