Road restoration works begin after explosion on Glinka Street
Road restoration works have begun on Glinka Street in Tashkent’s Yakkasaray district following damage caused by an explosion.
A new layer of asphalt is currently being laid on the damaged section. Officials are monitoring the quality of the road surface and ensuring that the works comply with safety requirements.
It was previously reported that on September 3, gas leaked from an underground gas pipeline on Glinka Street and accumulated in a heating network chamber, causing a powerful explosion. One person sustained minor injuries, and several vehicles were damaged.
A criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident.
