ASTANA, August 23 - Sputnik. The national company "KazMunayGas" has published interim consolidated financial statements.
"Revenue amounted to 3,943 billion tenge (8,726 million dollars), which is 15.1% lower than in the first half of 2022. The decline in the average price of Brent oil by 26.2% in the first half of 2023 had a negative impact on revenue dynamics to the same period in 2022," the statement said.
The share in the profit of joint ventures and associates decreased by 26.8% and amounted to 400 billion tenge ($885 million), mainly as a result of a decrease in profit from Tengizchevroil LLP by 139 billion tenge ($310 million), Mangistau Investments B. IN." by 20 billion tenge ($45 million) and CPC by 18 billion tenge ($40 million).
KMG's net profit decreased by 36.6% compared to the first half of 2022 and amounted to 492 billion tenge ($1,088 million).
Net income, adjusted for interest in joint ventures and associates, decreased by 24.3% from 352 billion tenge ($782 million) to 266 billion tenge ($589 million).
Earlier it was reported that for the first six months compared to the first half of 2022:
the volume of oil and gas condensate production increased by 10.1% and amounted to 11,860 thousand tons;
the volume of oil transportation increased by 5.8% and amounted to 39,309 thousand tons;
the volume of processing of hydrocarbon raw materials (HC) at Kazakhstani and Romanian refineries increased by 4.0% and amounted to 10,109 thousand tons.
