The leaders of the Central Asian republics held trilateral talks, where they touched upon the issues of deepening cooperation and the "green" agenda

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held talks with the heads of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

This was reported by the press service of the leader of the republic.

It is noted that the parties discussed issues of further strengthening cooperation in the political, economic and trade spheres, energy, water ecology and transport.

In his own speech, Emomali Rahmon stressed that:

1. Tajikistan is ready to develop cooperation on the production of "green" energy.

2. It is necessary to use the potential of countries in the transport sector to the maximum.

3. It is important to continue to work on the comprehensive expansion of interstate ties.

The President of the Republic also mentioned the formation of priority trade and transit corridors in the East-West and North-South directions in the country, which are of international importance.

As a result of the meeting, a Joint Statement of the Heads of State of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan was adopted.

Emomali Rahmon arrived in Ashgabat

Earlier, the head of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon held bilateral talks with his Turkmen counterpart Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

It is emphasized that the need to deepen the interaction of the republics within the framework of:

Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation;

Working Council of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan;

business forum practices.
