Residents of Uzbekistan are warned through mosques in emergency situations
In Uzbekistan, mosques have been introduced as part of a rapid alert system for the population in emergency situations. Mosques equipped with special equipment will deliver emergency messages to the population using external loudspeakers.
So far, 272 mosques in Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Samarkand, Syrdarya, Tashkent and Fergana regions have been connected to this system. The project is planned to cover approximately 6.5 million people.
This method will allow for warnings even during mobile communication or power outages.
