Residents of GBAO received humanitarian aid on Rahmon's order

Citizens affected by the natural disaster are provided with basic necessities, clothing and building materials

Residents of the Roshtkala district of the Gorno-Badakhshan region received another batch of humanitarian aid.

At the direction of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, essential items, clothing and building materials were sent to the region.

It should be noted that at present the affected residents temporarily live in the Shabdez sanatorium of the district. They are provided with all the necessary conditions, including places to sleep and store food. There is also a medical center and other necessary infrastructure.

For citizens who have lost their homes, a land plot has already been allocated in a safe place and the construction of houses has begun.

About 20 families whose homes were at risk were relocated to safe places and returned to their homes after solving the problems.

A natural disaster occurred in the Midenvedi village of the Barvoz jamoat of the Roshtkala district at the end of June.

As a result of the flooding of the Shokhdara riverbed, 15 residential buildings, an elementary educational institution, and gardens and agricultural land were completely and partially destroyed, being under water.

Earlier, food and material assistance was already sent to the district, the affected families were provided with household items and equipment.
