Reservoirs to be turned into tourist destinations
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized the need to effectively use the country’s reservoirs to develop tourism during a meeting held on April 28.
It was noted that Uzbekistan has 25 categorized reservoirs, which are planned to be gradually transformed into comfortable recreation areas for both residents and tourists.
Earlier, a tourist complex being developed near the “Karkidon” reservoir in Kuva district was reviewed. A special emergency center has been established there to ensure the safety of visitors.
Officials have been instructed to develop modern infrastructure around the reservoirs, strengthen safety measures, and turn these areas into attractive tourist destinations.
