"Religious tolerance" badge was established in Uzbekistan. The award is presented every year on November 16 - on the eve of the International Day of Tolerance. Those awarded with it will be given money in the amount of 4 times BHM.
By the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 25, the regulation on the "Religious tolerance" badge was approved. This is reported by the Ministry of Justice.
Distinguished state and public figures, leaders and accomplished scholars in the religious and social sphere, employees of state organizations and non-governmental non-profit organizations, representatives of international organizations, diplomatic missions, foreign figures and scientists are awarded with the badge.
Also, foreign citizens and stateless persons can be awarded with a badge, the report says. The following documents about the candidate are attached to the proposals for awarding the badge:
- information about the candidate;
- a copy of the candidate's identity document (civil passport or ID card);
- a description of the work done by the candidate during the last 3 years in terms of increasing the efficiency of the religious and educational sphere, ensuring the guarantees of citizens' freedom of conscience, and strengthening inter-religious and inter-confessional harmony and tolerance.
The badge is solemnly presented every year on November 16 - the International Day of Tolerance.

Awardees will receive a one-time monetary award in the amount of 4 times the BHM (1 million 320 thousand soums).
