Khaled Tagizade, a deputy of the Duma of the Khanty-Mansi (Yugra) Autonomous Okrug of Russia, resigned his deputy mandate after his statement that “Siberia is the historical homeland of Uzbeks”. He filed a waiver of his authority on July 7, with the final decision likely to be released on July 19.
