Rectors of universities from Central Asian countries will meet in Dushanbe

The event will be held as part of the fifth, anniversary consultative meeting of the heads of state of Central Asia, scheduled for this month in Dushanbe

The second forum of rectors of higher educational institutions of the countries of Central Asia will be held on September 14 in Dushanbe.

This was reported in the Ministry of Education and Science of Tajikistan.

The event is planned within the framework of the fifth, anniversary consultative meeting of the leaders of the Central Asian countries, which will be held in September in the capital of the republic, the ministry noted.

The rectors of universities in Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan will discuss the prospects for developing cooperation in the field of science and education at the forum.

Besides, ministers of education will take part in the meeting.

Recall, Deputy Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan Sodik Imomi previously reported that on September 14-15, Dushanbe will host the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and a meeting of the Council of Heads of State - Founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

Registration of applicants for entrance exams has started in Tajikistan

The meeting will be chaired by the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon.

During the summit, a number of events are planned:

economic forum;

international exhibition of national products;

meeting of the members of the Dialogue of Women Leaders in Central Asia;

exhibition of artists;

festival of national dishes;

a meeting of transport ministers and a concert of masters of culture and art of the Central Asian states.
