Rat poison has been found in a 190-gram jar of HiPP “carrot and potato” puree sold in Austria. As a result, the products have been recalled in more than a thousand SPAR supermarkets as a precaution.
According to police, the suspect jars had a red circle sticker on the bottom, and the lids were opened or damaged. The company said that the poison may have been mixed into the product from outside.
Customers have been advised not to consume the product, and will receive a full refund for the returned products.
