Tajikistan fully supports the efforts of countries to develop cooperation in the fields of economics, transport and communications.

This was stated by the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon at the UN General Assembly in New York.

In the context of promoting a green economy, Tajikistan attaches paramount importance to the development of eco-energy, the president added.

He also touched upon climate problems that hinder the development of many countries and called for them to be fought together.

In addition, according to Rahmon, it is necessary to jointly discuss the Afghan problem, security, humanitarian assistance to the residents of the country and the fight against drug trafficking.

“Stability in Afghanistan is an important factor in the development of interregional ties, so with this we are interested in the speedy restoration of peace and stability,” the head of state said.

In addition, the head of Tajikistan called for the restructuring of the global financial system, and also noted that measures taken to achieve these goals should not increase the debt of states.

“Tajikistan is taking additional measures to eliminate the consequences of financial and economic problems and make full use of existing capacities in order to ensure effective economic development and strives to expand opportunities for financing the social sector,” Rahmon said.
