Railways were attacked on the opening day of the Olympics

Shortly before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris, the French railway company reported that its facilities - roads and stations - were vandalized in different parts of the country. In particular, cases of arson were observed. Most of the train flights have been cancelled. Also, flights connecting Paris and a number of European cities have been canceled or delayed.

Firefighters and police are working at the scene of the attack. This situation will remain until July 29, while restoration work is ongoing. French police have launched an investigation into the attack.
