Kazakh and Tajik railway workers plan to open a joint venture and create a transport and distribution center at the Khatlon station, where they will consolidate agricultural cargo from the south of Tajikistan and export from Kazakhstan.

It also became known that on August 24, the Kedentransservice company (a subsidiary of the Kazakhstan Railways) sent the first train with Kazakh export cargo from the Kostanay station to Tajikistan. Which ones and for what amount, is not specified.

Recall that in 2022 the volume of cargo transportation between Kazakhstan and Tajikistan exceeded 4 million tons.

And in the first seven months of 2023, it grew to 2.7 million tons, which is 392.3 thousand tons more (+17%) than a year earlier.
