Rahmon flew to Gorno-Badakhshan: the reason

The head of state began a working trip to Gorno-Badakhshan, he has already opened a new school and hospital, and also inspected the construction of an important highway

President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon left for a working visit to the Gorno-Badakhshan region.

This was reported by the press service of the leader of the state.

The head of the republic plans to get acquainted with the preparations for the region to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the country, as well as communicate and meet with local residents.

Rahmon has already visited the Darvaz region, where he looked at how the work on the reconstruction of the Dushanbe-Kulma road is going.

The route connects the territories of Darvaz and Vanj regions. It passes through the Darvaz mountain range, this complex section of the road has not undergone major repairs for many years.

The road is built in two lanes, with a standard width of 12 meters. 648 specialists work here, who carry out tunneling work using 206 elements of modern road construction equipment and mechanisms, as well as drilling equipment.

In Darvaz, Rahmon opened a gymnasium for gifted children. The educational institution is designed for 840 students.

Rahmon appealed to the employees of the Rogun HPP

Education here will be conducted in Tajik, Russian and English on the basis of state educational programs. The school is equipped with all the necessary educational supplies and visual aids, as well as a separate sports hall and an outdoor football field.

The president also opened a new hospital with 100 beds in the region.
