Rahmon expressed condolences in connection with the loss of life due to heavy rains

In Tajikistan, heavy rains on the evening of August 27 claimed the lives of more than a dozen people, the victims were mainly residents of the city of Vahdat and the Rudaki district

Flooding due to heavy rains occurred in some regions of Tajikistan, causing loss of life and destruction.

This was reported in the press service of the President of the Republic Emomali Rahmon.

So, on the evening of August 27, a natural disaster hit Vahdat and Rudaki.

According to official figures, 13 people became victims of the disaster.

It is noted that Vahdat suffered the most: as a result of showers, 11 people died. In Rudaki, a natural disaster claimed the lives of two more.

In addition, the Dushanbe-Khujand highway was damaged.

In connection with this tragedy, Emomali Rahmon expressed condolences to the families of the dead and injured.

Rain and cold weather expected in Tajikistan

The President instructed the Prime Minister, the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense and other specialized structures to provide assistance to relatives of the victims of the natural disaster.

He also ordered that immediate measures be taken to eliminate the consequences of the flood.
