For 6 months of 2023, the number of builders of the Rogun HPP reached 14 thousand people, however, according to the head of state, this is still not enough

Tajikistan for 6 months of 2023 allocated more funds than planned for the construction of the Rogun hydroelectric power plant.

This was stated by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon during an appeal to the builders.

It is noted that more than 3 billion somoni was allocated from the state budget.

"That is, the annual plan was 2.5 billion somoni, but more than 3 billion was financed," the head of state stated.

However, Emomali Rahmon expressed his gratitude to the builders for their courageous and persistent work.

According to the president, more than 14,000 workers and engineering and technical personnel are involved in the HPP facilities.

"This is 3.6 thousand people more than in the same period of 2022," the leader of the republic stressed.

Despite investments and an increase in the number of employees, this is still not enough for the smooth and rapid continuation of work, Rahmon said.

The head of state said that the process of building a hydroelectric power station is divided into separate points and a delay in one of them will entail a postponement in others.

Rahmon went to Rogun: the reason

Earlier, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon began a working trip to the Rogun HPP. He inspected the Rogun-Obigarm-Nurobod highway, got acquainted with the project of a road connection from Rogun to the Shurob HPP.

Later, Emomali Rahmon went to Mine No. 17, where drilling and laying of alumina material is being completed.
