Construction firm fined 88 million soums for damaging cemetery

It was previously reported that several gravestones were damaged at the Botkin Cemetery in Tashkent following the collapse of a wall during construction work.
According to the Tashkent City Construction Inspection, the incident occurred during excavation work for the construction of an additional building in the Sultonali Mashhadiy neighborhood of the Yashnobod district. The construction work had commenced without the necessary permits.
In response to the incident, the construction work was halted, and the construction firm was issued an administrative fine amounting to 200 times the base calculation amount (BHM)—totaling 88 million soums.
