Putin Orders Updates to Military Cooperation Agreements with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan
Russian President Vladimir Putin has instructed the government to begin negotiations on amending existing agreements regarding military-technical cooperation with Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The relevant directives were signed on July 27.
The agreements in question are those on military-technical cooperation signed with Uzbekistan in 2016 and with Kazakhstan in 2013.
These agreements cover the mutual supply, repair, and modernization of weaponry and military hardware, as well as joint research, the establishment of production facilities, and the training of specialists.
Details regarding the planned amendments have not yet been officially disclosed.
