Putin approved the new composition of the government

Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the appointment of a new government.

For the first time, the government of Russia was established in 2020 according to a new order based on the amendment to the constitution. By decree of Putin, Andrei Belousov was appointed as the Minister of Defense. The youngest minister in the new government was the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov, he is 37 years old. The oldest is 74-year-old Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. He also has the longest experience in government, including Lavrov, who has held the position of Foreign Minister for more than 20 years. The average age of the members of the new government of Russia is 53 years.

Also, Sergei Naryshkin was appointed director of the Foreign Intelligence Service, Alexander Bortnik was appointed director of the Federal Security Service. Viktor Zolotov heads the Russian Guard, and Dmitry Kochnev heads the Federal Security Service.
